Hordijk EPS has long produced a wide range of EPS trays for growing tables and sowing and transplanting trays. Many growers appreciate the insulating properties of EPS. This evens out temperature fluctuations, which has a positive effect on the growth of a plant.
We continue to innovate our horticultural trays. We have just launched our new generation of smooth trays. As smooth as a hard plastic tray, but with the benefits of EPS. Because of the smooth structure of the EPS tray, roots will not become attached to the wall. The trays are used once and then recycled. Single use has the following advantages
- No risk of disease transmission. The trays are only used once.
- Their dimensional stability makes them ideal for machine use in automated seeding lines.
- No cleaning costs.
- The grower can plan ahead because the trays are already filled. This is in contrast to refilling.
- The plug supplier can refill the trays at any time. This prevents production peaks.
- Trays for reuse.
Hordijk EPS does not only produce one-off trays. We also have reusable trays for flowers, plants and tree cuttings. Hordijk EPS is a member of EPS Garden-trays. We collect used garden trays and ensure that they are fully recycled.
