Maintenance Technician – Extrusion Department

At our thermoforming factories in Zaandam, we are looking for you: an enthusiastic and committed Maintenance Technician – Extrusion Department.
What will you be doing?
As a Maintenance Technician in the Extrusion Department, you are responsible for the optimal performance of our extruders. You ensure that the machines run reliably and receive the maintenance they deserve. You independently carry out maintenance activities, ranging from replacing wear parts to inspecting critical components such as bearings, gears, and motors. After repairs or replacements, you test and calibrate the machines to ensure they are fully ready for production.
Do you encounter a malfunction? You analyze it in detail—whether electrical or mechanical—and provide a sustainable solution. In addition, you will:
- Draw up maintenance plans and checklists
- Carefully document malfunctions and solutions
- Actively contribute to technical improvement projects
- Work together with operators to optimize equipment and processes
- Support start-up procedures and overhauls of extruders
Are you an experienced technician or eager to learn? Then you enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues, coaching less experienced team members, and coordinating activities where necessary. Thanks to your proactive attitude, you make a direct contribution to the technical stability and growth of our production environment.
Job Requirements
What do you bring?
An MBO-level education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics
Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
A strong sense of responsibility and a proactive mindset
Analytical skills and a passion for technical improvements
