For our thermoforming factories in Zaandam, we are looking for an enthusiastic and committed:
Mould Maintenance Technician
(Location: Zaandam)
What is a mould?
Thermoforming is a production technique in which plastic is heated until it becomes flexible and is then shaped into a final product using a mould.
A mould plays a central role in the thermoforming process. It determines the final shape, dimensions and level of detail of the product. During production, a heated plastic sheet is formed over or into the mould, after which the material cools down and hardens into the desired shape.
What will you do?
As a Tooling Maintenance Technician (Moulds), you are responsible for keeping the moulds in optimal technical condition. You carry out maintenance and repair work to prevent or resolve wear, contamination and malfunctions.
Your tasks include dismantling and inspecting moulds, replacing or repairing components, and ensuring correct adjustment before the mould is returned to production. You analyse deviations in product quality and trace them back to possible causes within the mould. In addition, you work closely with production and technical colleagues to implement improvements that extend the service life of the moulds and increase process reliability.
Through your work, you make a direct contribution to a stable thermoforming process and consistent product quality.
What do you bring?
- A completed MBO-level education in a technical field, or demonstrable technical experience.
- Experience with machining processes and/or in a toolmaking environment is an advantage.
- An independent, flexible and solution-oriented working style, with efficiency as a priority to minimise disruption to production.
- Strong analytical skills and a focus on achieving the right quality with good output.
- Availability for 32–40 hours per week, with availability on Thursday and Friday in any case.
- Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written, and strong communication and social skills.
- Affinity with electrical engineering is a plus.
What do we offer?
A varied and independent full-time position within a growing family-owned company that values initiative. Your ideas are welcome, and we continuously invest in technology, machinery and your personal development through training and education.
You will work in a day shift from 07:15 to 16:00.
What else do you get?
- A competitive salary based on your knowledge and experience.
- 25 vacation days and 15.5 ADV days, offering plenty of time off.
- No need for extra days off? You can sell part of your ADV days on a monthly basis.
- A bicycle scheme.
- The prospect of a permanent contract – we focus on long-term cooperation.
