Since the last quarter of 2019, our factory in Zevenhuizen has been producing the well-known private label sauce bottles for Remia. Remia chose Hordijk because of its delivery reliability, good price/quality ratio and local sourcing.

The top-down bottles are sold as private labels by Albert Heijn, Jumbo and Superunie members Hoogvliet and Plus. They are also exported. The 500ml and 750ml versions are made entirely of polypropylene (PP).

Like Hordijk, Remia is family-owned, which contributes positively to the way we work together and do business.

To produce the sauce bottles, Hordijk has invested in an extrusion blow-moulding machine and automated packaging. After blowing, the bottles are checked for any leaks and fully automatically packed and palletised at the factory in Zevenhuizen.

With the Remia order, Hordijk expanded its ‘blowing-moulding activities’. It was the first time that bottles made of PP material were blow-moulded on this scale. The bottles are recyclable, which enables every used sauce bottle to have a second life after collection.
