Hordijk products comply with the adjusted migration limits for Bisphenol A (BPA)

Published on: 13-03-2025

There has been debate about bisphenol A (BPA) and its potential health risks for many years. In December 2024, additional legislation was published that tightens existing regulations on BPA in plastic packaging.

This legislation is an addition to EU Regulation 10/2011, which obliges producers of plastic packaging to draw up a Declaration of Compliance (DoC). This declaration states that the product complies with all the requirements of the regulation, so that its use for food packaging does not pose a health risk.

Hordijk’s products also comply with the adjusted BPA limit. We do not provide a separate declaration for BPA, but our updated DoC, to be drawn up after December 2024, will state that our products comply with all applicable limits within EU Regulation 10/2011, including the adjusted BPA values.
